Roles of the President
There are seven roles of the President:
1. Head of State: the ceremonial leader.
2. Chief Executive: directs the government.
3. Chief Legislator: proposes bills to congress and attempts to influence congress.
4. Economic planner: prepares a federal budget proposal every year.
5. Party leader: most important person in his/her political party.
6. Chief Diplomat: President is able to make decisive decisions.
7. Commander-in-Chief: power to send troops and dictate military strategies and operations.

Requirements to be President
-Must be a natural born citizen
-Must be at least 35 years of age.
-Must be a resident of the United States for at least 14 years.
